Oregon State University Naval ROTC was proud to commission 2 new Ensigns into the United States Navy, and a 2nd Lieutenant into the United States Marine Corps. Thanks to all who attended and participated in the ceremony.

In honor of sacrifices from our veterans, the beaver battalion participated in the Albany Veterans Day parade. The battalions colorguard and armed drill team both one first place in the marching competition of the parade.

Special thanks to all those who joined us to celebrate the Marine Corps cake-cut celebration.
The Beaver Battalion hosted their annual Birthday Ball, which means a night of dinner, drinks, dancing, and fun for students, staff, and honored guests. The formal event, which took place October 27th, encourages good social etiquette practices for the prospective officers and also gives an introduction to the proceedings for formal military occasions.
After the formalities of the evening were addressed, the lights dimmed and the music commenced in order to sway the attention to the social dance floor. Several students took part in either the dancing or the karaoke before the evening drew to an end. Occasions such as these often produce the best memories, especially when made in the company of excellent friends.
