Obstacle Course Reconstruction

O Course mid-construction 2016

26 July 2016

The Beaver Battalion has a new Obstacle Course!

In recent years, the Lt Col Nelson Olf Obstacle Course has taken a beating from the Beaver Battalion and unfavorable Oregon weather. In the Winter of 2016, the course was deemed unsafe to use because of rotting and splitting wood. In mid-July construction crews worked to rebuild the new obstacle course, building the course to the exact specifications of a regulation Marine Corps obstacle course. The rebuilt obstacle course is exactly like the courses our Marine option students will see at Mountain Warfare Training, Officer Candidate School, and The Basic School. The final touches were completed and the course was turned over to the Beaver Battalion. The Beaver Battalion is especially grateful to the following benefactors and sponsors for their support over the past year to make this project possible:

Pacific Excavation
McFarland Cascade
Stella-Jones Corporation
JH Baxter & Company
Leavitt's Freight Service
OSU Division of Undergraduate Studies
OSU College of Forestry
OSU NROTC Alumni and Friends
