OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY

Prospective Students

For general information about our Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) program, the various links provided on this web site will be a good place for you to start. The Battalion Regulations and Parent Handbook (found below) will give you a very good understanding of what is expected of midshipmen and what to expect from the NROTC officers and staff. The New Student Orientation, although not mandatory, is strongly recommended. Midshipman beginning the NROTC program after Fall term are encouraged to participate in orientation the following year.

For details about the NROTC at Oregon State, please review Naval Science in the General Catalog. Our curriculum can be found within the Naval Science (NS) Minor (code 806), and the online catalog course list at NS Courses.  The courses required for the Minor are taken in addition to those required by your selected degree major.

Please review the OSU Registration Handbook for 2016-2017 for a guide to the registration process. This handbook provides many tools that can help you accomplish your academic goals.

Admission into OSU will vary based on your academic history. All the information you need to understand the admissions process, whether you are an incoming freshman or transferring from another university, can be found on the Office of Admissions web page, or Apply for Admission now.

If you have questions after going over these resources, then please do give me a call at the number listed below. I will be happy to direct your question to one of our advisors.
