Our role is to bring together academic advisors, counselors, instructors, professional and tenure line faculty, unit leadership, and many other campus community members to create and operationalize holistic student success. The VPDUS is responsible for coordinating the development and enhancement of high-impact educational practices, as well as elevatating student success initiatives around experiential learning, first-year experience programs, proactive academic advising and the use of data analytics to inform decision-making. In addition to collaborating across our institution, the VPDUS also represents Oregon State University in the 11-member institution University Innovation Alliance (UIA). The UIA is a consortium of large public research univerisities dedicated to improving educational outcomes and degree attainment for all students regardless of socioeconomic background. Our Role

The Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Studies (VPDUS) and her team work to promote and improve undergraduate education and success at Oregon State. They do so with particular emphasis on increasing and equalizing student success, retention and graduation rates for all students, which are critical elements in the university’s Strategic Plan 3.0.
