On October 19th, NROTC Alumni hosted its annual tailgater for the Beaver Battalion before the UNLV vs OSU football game. The Alumni Tailgater is a chance for past NROTC graduates to return home and visit the current developments of the Unit. Here, they get to witness the future generations of Navy and Marine Crops officers.
The tailgater was hosted right outside the NROTC unit from 1600-1900, with its own catering from the Oregon BBQ Company. With 50 students and their guests, and even more alumni we were able to put together a corn hole competition with some prizes. The winners of this competition were MIDN 4/C Grady and Boyer, who won a $50 dollar gift card to Oregon BBQ Company. Each person also received a limited edition NROTC Beaver Battalion themed travel mug to signify they attended the 2024 Alumni Tailgater.
