The Beaver Battalion held the annual Fall Ball on Saturday, 28 October to celebrate the 242nd birthday of the United States Navy.
The ceremony began with the 4th Class Midshipmen proceeding through the receiving line and formally meeting the Commanding Officer, CDR Timothy Reidy Jr. and the guest of honor, Colonel Charles L. Meadows, United States Marine Corps, retired. The ceremony continued with a sword arch for the arrival of the official party, the posting of the colors, the invocation, and the honoring of the POW/MIA table.
The Commanding Officer then introduced the guest of honor, decorated war veteran Colonel Meadows who spoke about his time serving in the Marine Corps and the trials and tribulations he faced while fighting in the Vietnam War. Following his speech, senior midshipmen began their toasts and a cake cutting ceremony shortly followed.
Following the formal portion of the Fall Ball midshipmen and even some staff danced into the night.
