2025 spring Commissioning
On June 13th, the Beaver Battalion commissioned six Ensigns and two 2nd Lieutenants into the Navy and Marine Corps. The event was held inside of the Learning Innovation Center on Oregon State University campus at 1:00PM.

On May 2nd, 2025, the Beaver Battalion held its prestigious Spring Awards ceremony at the Horizon Room, honoring the accomplishments of the Midshipmen, Officer Candidates (OCs), and Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) students for the 2024-2025 school year. The event brought together family, friends, and peers to celebrate the hard work, leadership, and dedication demonstrated throughout the year.
On May 2nd, all Oregon State University ROTC units came together for the annual Joint Service Review (JSR), a tradition since 1916 that highlights the professionalism and unity of OSU’s Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force ROTC programs.
This year’s event was hosted by Army ROTC and reviewed by Colonel Ballard, who honored the formation with his presence and shared remarks on leadership and service. His participation added distinction to a time-honored tradition.
MOSCOW, Idaho – April 4–5, 2025 — Oregon State University’s Beaver Battalion, competed in this year’s Northwest Navy (NWN) competition hosted in Moscow, Idaho by the University of Idaho/Washington State (UI/WSU) NROTC. NWN is a long-standing annual tradition dating back to the early 1950s — a weekend of fierce competition and camaraderie among the Pacific Northwest’s top NROTC units. This year featured matchups between Oregon State, University of Washington (UW), and UI/WSU.
